I was looking at Woodcraft and online for some brass pins for boxes, knife kits, etc…. I not only was unable to find anything at Woodcraft, but they were unable to order anything for me regarding this or even point me in the right direction. I know this probably should go in the forum section. I tried and it did not show up under Hardware section. I need these pins for building boxes for the gents in my wedding party and the Dads. Your support would be highly appreciated for recommendations on a website or something to Goggle on this. I’m thinking of sanding off a bronze welding rod. Thanks again, TinkerTom

I believe JantzSupply.com has all kinds of stuff like that. Look for knifemaking supplies. They use brass rods in all diameters.

Do a google search for escutcheon pins or brass pins. I bought some last Christmas and you buy them by weight.

Also brass dowels that start at 1/4”
My experience it that their shipping is awesome.

This are some of the sites I have researched for knife making supplies:
http://www.hawkinsknifemakingsupplies.com/
http://www.knifemaking.com/
http://www.texasknife.com/
http://www.popknifesupplies.com/
They have threaded pins as well as the regular rod type. Have fun and be safe.
