Where did those screws go?

Well about 2 years ago we packed up a crib, supposedly taping the hardware right to one of the pieces so we wouldn’t lose it. Now think about how many times you say to yourself “I’ll put (fill in the blank) right here so I won’t lose it”, and then you can never find that (fill in the blank) again. That happened to me and when our new baby boy was on the way we couldn’t put his crib up because of a lack to hardware. I went to the big box stores to try and figure something out, but after spending $30+ on hardware and talking to someone who thought they supposedly knew what I needed the crib still sat in a pile, that is until tonight. I got the “portable” kreg jig for Christmas (I think the R3 model) and my birthday just rolled around and I bought a case of kreg screws. I had not really ever got a chance to use this jig before tonight, but I am so thankful that I recieved it for a gift. The crib now stands tall and strong. The jig was very easy to use. Hopefully I will get much more use out of it in the future.

When possible, if I disassemble something to move or for storage, I take the time to put the screws back in it. This take a little extra time, but then I don’t lose them. My shop, truck, and home all have strange portals to another universe somewhere that by now is slam sull of all the things I can’t find that I know I put up so I’d be able to find.
