outdoor finish - 2 replies I am making a sign for a gravestone. I will be painting the sign with acrylic folk art outdoor paint. What finish should I use that will stand up best to the elements and not react with the paint? |

Finding glue marks before staining - 8 replies I am getting ready to finish a project made of oak and I am going to stain it dark. I read somewhere that you can brush something on the glued joints to see if there are any glue blotches left over. If I remember correctly, it is denatured alcohol but I am not sure. Anybody have some suggestions? |

An easy way to tell friends how to find my projects - 4 replies Im sure I am just overlooking the obvious, but is there an easy way to tell people how to find me on lumberjocks. so far I have to tell them to look in the workbench section and find the name of my project so they can access my other project. this seems way to complicated. Is there a way they can just look up my username and find me in the jocks... |
