Well, let's see here... I'm about to turn 30, I live in Northfield Center, Ohio, with my high-school-sweetheart-husband Jason and our cat Chloe. We also have a Beta Fish named Buddah that apparently has been given the gift of eternal life by aliens or something. I've had my own in-home childcare center business in an addition on our house for the last six years, and I love what I do for a living. My husband is an engineer for a major valve and tube-fitting manufacturing company. In our spare time we fix-up our house, build stuff, garden, and enjoy saving money when we can with the old DIY mentality. I LOVE to paint rooms, which is great, because it's the one and only thing that my husband loathes. lol In my spare time I listen to music, fiddle around with learning to play the Djembe, go for walks, hang out at the metro-park near our home, work-out, hoola-hoop, paint abstract art inspired by other peoples personal styles as well as my own, write poetry and short stories/essays, landscape, read, watch movies, try new beers, and relax. It sounds like a pretty rough life, doesn't it? ;)

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

“Hmmm BEEEER” -Homer Simpson,

Yeah, like most guys here or anywhere in the world, beer is a passion definetly. If you really love beer, or anybody else here for that matter, you guys (I assume your husband loves beer too!) should move to Bavaria!
Some cool facts while I am thinking of beer (from my enclyclopedia of beer)

hate to be a topper but just has to be said! ;-)
- No country in the world has proportionaly as many breweries as Germany. (most every village and town has at least one) there is about 1300 of them total,
- more than half of which are in Bavaria… this figure represents about a 1/3 of all Breweries in the world.
- Average consumption of beer per person (german) per year is about 157 litres,
for the Bavarians its about 240 litres per year!

LOL I love The Simpson’s!

Bavaria is definitely on our list of places we’d like to eventually visit! Thanks for all the cool Bavarian Beer Factoids! lol

My husband and I, along with most of our close friends, LOVE beer. We like to do weekend beer-tastings, and we even have an excellent Micro-Brewery up in Cleveland that we like to go to, just about a half an hour away from us, called The Great Lakes Brewery. Best. Beers. EVER. ;)

We buy their (GLB) stuff a lot, especially their seasonal beers.

Though I love most of the beers I try, I am not fond of anything cheap/weak or anything light or even on the light-ish side. I prefer good strong IPA’s and Stouts! :D

Yeah, seriously. I’ve got a six of Dead Guy Ale, and I’m not afraid to use it. LOL

I’ve never had Fat Tire! ...Enlighten me!

Just got finished assembling the new black rocking bench as a reference point for the oil-stained rocking bench I’m about to refinish and paint to match it. The newly assembled black bench is pretty sharp-looking, but the one I’m about to refinish, is going to kick its butt to the curb. ;)

Wish me luck! I’m about to head to Home Depot for my supplies! Yay! :D

Hi Nicholas – I’m glad you’re still curious! lol The project went perfectly, no problems at all – but I had really prepared for it well from start to finish. I completed it yesterday afternoon, and I’m hoping to have the project pics posted on here before the weekend! Check back soon! :)

Welcome to LJ’s. I’m from Cleveland as well and I’m with you on the GLB selections. Edmund Fitzgerald is the best Porter out there and Dortmunder is top of the line. My wife and I are headed back there this weekend actually…maybe I’ll have to bring some Dort back home with me!

Enjoy the website…

LOL Hey, Greg! Whatdaya know… a fellow Clevelander! Nice. I’ve got Edmund Fitz in the fridge right now, along with my favorite GLB brew Commodore Perry (IPA). Dortmunder is good with everything and anything, anytime, so you have to love it, eh?! Have you tried the Blackout Stout? My husband is not a huge fan of stouts, but I LOVE IT! It’s comes in a four and is pricey, but totally worth it if you like stouts.

We’re supposed to take some friends on the GL Brewery tour soon. They’ve never been there! Can you believe that?! Sad, sad, sad… haha

I am enjoying this site immensely. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and skilled. Thanks for the nice welcome.
