« Part 3: Conclusion Part 4 of Wood Table Saw Wing series no next part

If you have seen my previous video about my wooden table saw wing, you already know that I plan on using it as my router table. So the next step in the evolution is to install the router plate into the wooden table saw wing. There isn’t a lot to it. I chose to build a frame, using the actual router bit as a template. Then, using the frame as a pattern, I used a flush trim router bit at the correct depth to cut out the recess for the router plate. All I needed for this application is a 3/8” shelf that is 1/4” below the surface of the table. I cut out the waste and cleaned everything up with a chisel. It ended up fitting great and now I am ready to build the router lift that will mount underneath. I hope you enjoy the video!
