I currently live in a studio apartment, so workspace is living space too. I’ve designed and am building a small workbench. If the parisians of the 19th century could use spring pole lathes in attics, I can make this work too. I’ve collected the basic tools and will keep you appraised as to my progress.

I saw a spring pole lathe in operation at last year’s WIA conference in Covington, KY. It’s really an ingenious tool.
