Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

Thank you Tom and 3fingerpat. Hummmm nd2elk, doesn’t apper to be a ham call sign. Hunting perhaps? 3finger, I DON’T want to know. :-) That might refer to one of my bigger fears about getting into this hobby. You see, I’m a nerd by day and I need all 10 of em’. Having all ten allows me to make typos much faster.

David, LOL! yup, I need all my ten fingers as well, just respect your tools, be safe and know when to stop working and you won’t end up like me.
BTW how is the weather today in Portland?

Thank you Bigdogs. What kind of big dogs? My co-worker raises Leonbergers. Them’s some “big dawgs”.
3finger. Glad to hear that you have all 10! :-)
Weather is chilly today. We have a frost warning out for tomorrow. But our furnace has been broken for a couple of weeks :-(. Hopefully on Monday or Tuesday the kind gentlemen will be comming to put in a new one (heat pump). It’s amazing – If you give them money, they will just come and put in a new one for you. ;-) It hasn’t been bad. It’s been warm all up until now. I’m in the family room stoking the wood stove and kind of enjoying the process.

David, hope you are keeping warm, we plan on moving to Brookings, OR once we can sell our place here in SD; I have been to Portland several times for the Portland Rose Festival during my time in the Navy and obsolutly loved the place, take care.

We are warm, thanks. We had the most wonderful bike ride today. Cool fall day. Perfectly clear and sunny. Rode about 45 minutes to the Woodcraft store. It’s no longer resonable how much I would like that Triton 2.25 hp router. My wife encouraged me to get it, but I’m a slow shopper. I have to think about it and poke at it a good while before I’ll buy it. But I got to get it out of it’s case and see how it feels. Oooo, very nice.
