TheRookieJer's Workshop

Kingwood, TX
United States

I am only a year into woodworking and didn’t grow up working with any tools at all. In addition, I am a hobbyist and my current tools accomplish everything I need them to, though, I am always on the look out for the bigger and better! Who isn’t?!

My shop is 1/2 of a two car garage, but my wife lets my set up fall into her side of the garage when it is not raining or below 40 degrees. Good thing is that it is hot and humid 11 months out of the year in Texas! Rain gets in the way at times…

My shop is set up like a galley kitchen. One aisle with everything on either side. As of now, that seems to work the best.

Tool list:

1. Ridgid Table Saw
2. Grizzly G0555 14 inch band saw
3. G0604X Parallelogram Jointer
4. DeWalt Planer
5. Bosch 2 1/4 HP Router
6. Hitachi 12 inch dual compound miter saw
7. Rockler Router Table
8. Milwaukee Circular Saw
9. Hitachi Finish/Brad Nailers
10. Ridgid Oscillating/Edge Spindle Sander

You do have some great tools. I have been eye ball’n that DeWalt planner too. I sure am glad I don’t have to share my shop with my wife like a lot of people do…..............
