Here’s a tip for you.
Since you have bech holes vertical and horizontal on your bench, get two pieces of 1/2 stock and put few matcjing dowels to your bench holes, one for verrtical and one for horizontal so that you create a 90 degrees L shape (do not miter the edges).
Use them for asembling face frame or other joints to perfect squares.
