I have dabbled in woodworking all of my life. In 2009, I received a Christmas gift of cash from my parents. At the time I was looking for a bookshelf, but never found anything that was worth buying. I began looking at some project plans and decided to put that money toward a table saw; to build my own. So, it began. I got the itch and have been making furniture, gifts and just about anything anyone would want. It has pretty much become a good way for me to buy tools and leave my mark on the world after I am long gone.

Dig the logo. I’ve been stamping all my going away gifts with my marking kit somewhere on the back and then a bit of poly over it. I never thought to make a logo. You know that machine makes rubber stamps? you could put it in a mold and stamp all your projects.

Thanks James. I actually made the logo and ordered a self inking stamp from vista print.

Haha, of course you did. I have a gas mask stamp from serve mart for check in/out’s. Post some projects. I never got to see Jason’s final going away gift. The sword mount. I really want to check it out.

You should definitely use the gas mask stamp. Yeah, I plan to put more stuff up as I can find the pics. Jason’s sword holder will be one of the first.

I told MAW CBRN to come see you for the MSgt’s retirement gift. I really wanted to do it myself, but who knows when I’ll be back in the shop. He was a big inspiration to me as a Lance to now and I’m rarely inspired by seniors. I’m so much older than your average Sgt that we’re too close in age. He really is awesome and I wanted to make sure he gets something unique and elaborate. Davis should send you an email about it. If he doesn’t, let me know and I’ll bother them again. If you end up doing it, let me know. I have some curly maple boards that could be used for accents or corner braces for it.
