I'm a Methodist pastor on an extended sabbatical. I've been woodworking since I was in Junior High, and mostly taught by my dad who has handed down a family legacy. I'm a Galoot by choice, but I'm working toward becoming a full-time professional woodworker, so power tools sometimes apprentice with me. I've been a member of the OldTools listserv since the early 1990's, and try really hard to be a hand tool snob, but it doesn't always work out that way.

For recreation, I'm a sportsman, I have sailed since I could about walk, have a musical education, and a Ham radio ticket. My wife and I are horse people as well. For relaxation I'm an officer in my volunteer fire department, and an EMT First Responder.

I was raised in Western New York State (a point I remind my Texas friends whenever they call me "Yankee.") Lived for 6 years in Central Kentucky prior to moving to Texas a decade ago.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. I retired in ‘96 and moved to Marble Falls for 8 years, now I am back in Minnesota for good. Looking forward to see your shop, projects, and comments. Have fun and work safe in the shop. Use pushsticks.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
