My new project of White Tail Deer Antler, Teak Wood & Ebony Wood 24 kt Gold Tycoon Fountain Pen. It took a little work to get the ends of the antler square enough to glue, but turned out ok in the end.

This project was started from me being moved emotionally by a Twitter thread from Wounded Warrior Wife. She describing her request for prayer for her husband, a wounded Marine facing his 51st surgery. I must admit I have a soft spot for those who keep us SAFE & FREE & wanted to show a small token of Appreciation for ALL that this 1 Marine couple have endured. (I’m certain there are MANY More like them). So this is my thanks to YOU for YOUR Sacrifice. YOU ARE TRULY A HERO! I hope you enjoy!

Updated with Completed Box engraving. I had the engraving done by a local business so I cant take any credit it.

My first attempt at making a box. It is made from Cedar Sides, Maple Bottom & 300 Year old Black Walnut inlaid with Holly & Walnut banding. I gave it to my Wife for our 18th Wedding Anniversary. It’s by far not perfect but between the books I’ve purchased & more importantly, the posts put here by members, I think I’m well on my way to improving my abilities! Thanks to All who share their ideas & projects, its a Tremendous help for less experienced craftsmen.

This pen was actually a rehab project. It was Gold & the owner wanted a Silver type finish so I changed to Gunmetal & polished it up for him. He Was EXITED! The first picture was before & the second is after.

This was a very nice piece of wood use for this pen.

This was a Retirement gift purchased by a coworker for a fellow coworker. I actually made 2 of these each with the Retiree’s name engraved on the box.
