Location: Wisconsin

My desire to work with wood started when I was pretty young helping my dad in his shop. Over time my interest has expanded into a career. I teach Technology Education at a small K12 school here in Wisconsin. In addition to teaching woods and construction I teach several design and engineering related courses. It's really fun to help the students explore new areas. During the 2012 school year we added a Shopbot brand CNC router to our shop. Students have really picked up on this quickly! When I'm not teaching there is usually still some power tool in my hand. I spend my summers and free time operating a small construction business. Most of my work is done in the field so my shop usually looks like a couple of collapsible saw horses and some portable equipment. Someday I dream of having a shop filled with large antique equipment, but for now my garage fills the void when I have a project to complete

Welcome TechTeacher- almost made it to 34,000 jocks. There were only about 5000 when I started. In just about 4 years it has grown. Your catching on fast thanks for the buddy add. I think this is the first time I’ve welcomed anyone to LJ’s. I’m sure you’ll be adding a lot of input now. When you find the time. Ha, later, bob

Hey Carl, we would like to see something in the LJ picture box other than the llittle guy with the plane. There are almost 40,000 jocks out there now no time to be modest. Later bob
