    Hi TechRedneck,
I have been thru Elkins many times on hunting and fishing trips to various upstate places. I have met people that moved to WV to find some solace in the mountains. I live most days in Kanawha Valley(500ftAboveSeaLevel), but have a cabin with 4 acres in Pocahontas county(3000+ftASL) where I spend a whole lot of time. My wife and I love the high places, it gives us a spiritual lift when we get over Kennison Mountain and see the whole Greenbrier valley from 4000ftASL. I can very well understand why you would want to live here. I have been working from home on a temp basis since I retired and am still involved to some degree with my some of my staff. But it looks like they are able to get on without me now after many months. So I am bowing out for good now. That gives me all my time to do what I want. Good luck with your business and have fun with your land and woodworking.

    Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ's as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
