I am an aspiring woodturner. I have been turning for about 2 1/2 years after none other than BigWoodTurner talked my wife into buying a midi lathe when I had told her I had no interest in turning and was enjoying the other woodworking I was doing. Well my first lesson with Dale changed the whole thing and I have hardly touched my other equipment since. I bought a VicMarc 300 and have enjoyed the progression and even the failures of my new love. Dale has helped me tremendously and I look forward to being somewhat semi retired and enjoying it even more. My home is on 9 acres so I have the luxury of tons of fresh pine for practice but moving onto other species as I feel comfortable.
I have lived in Colorado Springs for 25 years originally from San Diego. I have spent the last 37 years in finance and ready to get out and enjoy turning a bit more.
I also look forward to having new Lumberjock friends. Tim
