Which of these 2 miter saws? - 15 replies
Makita or DeWalt My old miter saw met its tragic end thanks to my garage door and mother-in-law. I have it down to these 2 saws. I would have to get the Makita on-line or get the DeWalt at Lowes while its on-sale. Any thoughts/suggestion/comments? Thanks.

Mobile Base for Table Saw - 7 replies
Recently, I was extremely fortunate to get a Jet JTAS Table Saw with the extension table. I need to get a mobile base for it. I have a variety of mobile bases on-line and was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. Are certain brands better than others? Do I need to get one made specifically for my saw or is a universal base ok?...

Angled Holes - 9 replies
Hi all. I am making some angled holes. I am using my drill press table set to 30 degrees, the drill press is on its slowest setting (620rpm), and I am using a 2.5in forstner bit. I know I need to be patient but its taking forever to make a single hole; right now I am only practicing on 3/4in scrap. I am applying slow even pressure the best ...

Riddling Rack - 5 replies
My wife wants me to look into making her a Riddling Rack. Something like this: http://piratenladen.de/ebay/brett20er/b3.jpg Looks like I just need a way to make the holes uniform. The angle should be the hard part. Does anyone have any ideas or perhaps a plan for such a thing? Thanks!

Finishing over a decal - 1 reply

Since the table will be used for food and drink, I want to protect the table top and decal. I was thinking about using some spray poly, but was unsure if it would cause the colors to run or have any other unex...

Tenons on a router table - 7 replies
I am doing my first project with mortise and tenons. I have been trying different methods of making my tenons with what I currently own (no tenoning jig, no dado blades). I have read up on many different methods and I have tried a few with decent success. One thing I haven’t read about too much is cutting the tenons on a router table. ...
