So today was the day to modify the fence on the bandsaw, I have the Ridgid 14002, and install the new Woodslicer blade and see how we do on the re-saw.
As it turned out I had 3 blanks, Yellowheart, Cocobolo and Maple that needed to be thinned down to 3/4 from 1” and didn’t really want to waste that much of that much exotic so…..
Unbelievable ! That Woodslicer blade is just unreal, I really just didn’t expect that much of a difference but it is just a world apart from the 1/4” OEM blade.
So now I have 3 great 1/8” pieces of exotic that I can use to add to my increasing fascination with making bandings and a whole new confidence in what can be done of the bandsaw
All in all, a very good day !

I love my wood slicer blade. I don’t know if I will ever buy anything else but those.

Stay away from hidden nails/staples! They put the big hurt on a Woodslicer in a hurry. I haven’t found a blade for re-sawing better than the Woodslicer.
