Built my shop in 1996 and really only set it up to work as a ‘shop’ (my arteest friends say I should call it a studio”) in 2009. 16’x28’ with 9’+ ceiling by using collar ties during construction. Really like that I can flip a 4×8 on a corner and not hit ceiling. Cleared out about everything that didn’t have use in a shop and geared up mostly for turning activities.
PM3520 lathe, Delta 46-460 lathe, Legacy 1200 Ornamental Mill, Craftsman 3HP Cont’r tablesaw, Craftsman 6” jointer, Jet 14” bandsaw with risers, Makita 12” planer, Walker Turner Drill Press (old heavy iron but runs like a champ), HF Dust Collector with homemade 2 stage collection.

Wow, TJ! That’s some shop that you have there. It looks like a wonderful shop to work in. You have a fine shop building ans a lot of fine tools and equipment. Welcome to Lumberjocks.

thanks all…it’s a nice place to go and just hang out sometimes. As small as it is, I laugh (well, sometimes) at how easy it is to not find one of a dozen pencils I keep lying around. I’m sure I’m the only one that happens to.
Thanks for the fine welcome!

Dude, you are like the third little piggy who built his shop from BRICKS! No fear from the big bad wolf on you!

Always gratifying to see a shop that shows dust, debris, detritus….from making stuff, too busy to stage pictures. Very nice Legacy mill, envy-envy-envy.

Have your say...
