Hi all ,This is my 2nd project .This one is for my wife.The main box is maple with lacewood dovetailed on the sides ,my 2nd attempt. I put the tails in the front so the contrast would show better .The top is lacewood with 3 spalted maple hearts inlaid and maple strips above and below.I also inset lacewood blocks in the front and rear of the lid and contrasting blocks on the bottom.It seems like I might be getting a little better.It really is a lot of fun. Hi all,This is my first project for my FIL it’s made from cocobolo,spalted maple,walnut,and oak. The box is dovetailed .1st attempt. The top is 45 degree walnut with a spalted maple insert,the bottom is white oak.I have a long way to go to get as good as you guys but you have to start somewhere.Thanks for your comments. JIM
