Summers Woodworking’s First Annual Creative 2×4 Contest Build 2013 is upholding a contest where you the woodworker will build something creative with a standard 2”x4”x8’ stud.

Rules:

You may enter only one project.
By entering, you verify that your entry is your own creation (Note: Summers Woodworking is NOT responsible for monitoring authenticity).

You must subscribe to my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=SummersWoodworking

You must submit a video response of your build no longer than 2 minutes in length to Summers Woodworking’s First Annual Creative 2×4 Contest Build 2013 video on YouTube anything longer will not be judged.

Entry opens on January 16, 2013 and ends on February16, 2013 at 11:59 MST.

Contest will be judged on February 17, 2013 at 6 AM MST and ends on February 17, 2013 at 5:59 PM MST.

Award recipients will be required to provide their name, and mailing address in order to receive their award gifts. Failure in doing so within 2 days will result in forfeiture, and the prize will be awarded to someone else.

Results will be announced on February 18, 2013 at 6 PM MST.
Prizes will be distributed February 21, 2013
Top woodworkers will be those with the highest point scores. (See point system below.)

Point System

Points will be assigned to each vote cast with the following values:
1st place: 5 points
2nd place: 4 points
3rd place: 3 points
4th place: 2 points
5th place: 1 point
The Woodworker with the entry with the highest points wins.

The prizes that will be awarded are as follows:

1st place = The Grr-Ripper GR-200 by Micro Jig.
2nd place = The Combination 3d Try Square and Marking Gauge (C3D) by M.Power Tools LTD.
3rd Place = Rockler 5-Piece Silicone Glue Application Kit by Rockler Woodworking and Hardware.
4th Place = Summers Woodworking’s Creative First Annual 2×4 Build Contest Winner 2013 T-Shirt by Summers Woodworking.
5th Place = Rockler Silicone Mini Glue Brush, 2-Pack by Rockler Woodworking and Hardware.
