I was raised on a ranch in western Wyoming. After we sold the ranch due to bankers and the inheritance tax issues, I have worked in several occupations including uranium mining, coal mining and ranching. Shucks, I even made snow for a ski area. Currently I work the the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in central Florida.
I suppose my interest in wood working started in Jr. High School when I took woodshop. I started working on my tool collection a few years ago. Since then i have butchered a few boards and mangled many others. I am slowly getting the hang of the techniques and how to safely use my tools. One of the first lessons I learned was that it is hard to get blood of unfinished wood. Besides that it hurts like H@ll!
-- Rule # 1 - Don't mix yer blood and sawdust!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
