A bathroom? Lucky.

Maybe have an extra wide door in case you plan on making big stuff, of moving big stuff into it.

the shop is an addition to the garage, so if I am making some thing to big for the shop I just use one of the stalls in the garage. The bathroom is nice and I forgot to mention that it is heated.

I think you’re going to build this onto your garage? In other words, you’re still in the planning process? If so…

Bathroom is nice but, if it’s just for the shop, I’d offer a suggestion: make it smaller. You’re taking up good lumber and tool space with it! ;-> I think I’d get rid of the bathroom sink. NO, I’m not saying your shouldn’t wash your hands after you do your business. I’m just saying move the sink outside of the bathroom and make it a utility sink. I use the utility sink in my garage all the time and wouldn’t want to be without it. So, if it were me, I’d make the bathroom just a toilet closet and put the sink on the wall outside it. That way the sink can serve the bathroom and the shop without dragging grease/oil/paint/whatever into the bathroom.

I’d also second the suggestion for a wide door or even a double door for larger things. Any way you do it though, that’s an excellent shop space!

Agreed on larger door, and smaller bathroom space.

This is already built by my dad when I was growing up. the shop part is attached to the garage. I just drew it is to sketcup so I can play around with laying stuff out before building . When he built this shop he was into small engine repair so he did think of a bigger door. If I need room for a big project I can use a stall in the attached garage.

Thanks for all the comments

Looks like a fantastic place to have fun. The bathroom is nice, but I think I’d convert it to a finish area if you have access to an exhaust of some sort. Just my 2-cents.
