I'm a general contractor that specializes in custom homes and remodeling along Chicago's North Shore. I generally sub out most of my work but occasionally I get to break out my tools and do a little old fashioned work. Other than that, most of my woodworking is reserved for personal projects around the house or for friends and family but unfortunately I never seem to have as much time for this as I would like.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Wow, what a welcoming committee you’ve got here on LumberJocks. I am a member on a number of forums and can easily say this is the friendliest group of individuals I have run across on the net.

I have been lurking on here for about a year admiring all of your incredible projects but decided I must join so that I can keep track of some of my favorites. Since joining I have discovered the forum section and now realize what a valuable tool that can be as well. This site offers so many different appealing things, I don’t know where to start!

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome. I hope I can contribute in a useful fashion.
