Hi all. What a fantastic village you all live in here. Very cool! I am new to carving and to your community. I love working with all the local woods available in the lower mainland. I have only transit for transportation so I scour the beaches and trails and river banks for pieces to call out to me to work with. I grew up in the north country and really miss seeing diamond willow. Are there any diamond willow stands in the GVA? I don’t desire to chop down any trees…I look for or rather “listen” for pieces of wood that have a Spirit to share with new friends. When I get around to completing my bio stuff, the “listening” thing might make more sense…I don’t think I’m as loopy as that comment make suggest! I hope some one can help.
Have a groovy day everybody!
Ward

Anyone who loves wood is welcome here – no matter how “loopy” they may sound at first read.
