To build this bench, you will just need a saw (any kind), a drill, and some screws. I built mine with four 2×4s and six 1×3 boards. Total cost: $30.
But wait! Win Kreg tools too! Post a video entry on YouTube. (Not LJ please!)

Edit: here are lengths of the boards:

Great project Steve. You didn’t say how tall the back legs are. I’d guess about 36”.

Nice build Steve. I love a good contest. And that Kreg Klamp Vise looks pretty useful. Maybe I can get a video posted, we’ll see.

Nice Kreg jig demo…a person can do a lot with that little sucker!!! also nice little bench, it just goes to show a person can make some nice yard furniture for a couple bucks…pine gets a bad rap sometimes, but as I have visited some antique stores you can see that pine can last for hundreds of years. Nice video Steve.

Great video Steve. THANKS.
Also thanks for the good tips on the router cabinet video. I used your pocket screw and rabbeting for panels technique for my lathe cabinet project I posted on LJ this week. With the 3/4” birch I had my shop, I was able to build the lathe cabinet for $30. Worked out great!
