Wanted to get you all up to speed on a bit of research I’ve been doing into Ted’s Woodworking…you know the scam sites that hawk the 16,000 woodworking plans.

Wow Steve, I think you need a stopwatch at the start of your next video, “Tonight on 8 minutes!” I understand how maddening it must be when someone steals your work for their own profit. I hope you continue to track this obviously shady business.

I have had my videos stolen as well and Youtube dosn’t exactly rush to take them down. As I said before I hope you are able to take this guy down. He is clearly a crook!

Hey Steve, you should think about putting a bug (watermark/logo) on your videos, like TV networks do. It won’t stop people for ripping off your vids, but it will inform viewers of the true source of the videos.

Thanks for the heads up Steve. I have found the web site before I watched your video, and the only thing I got from it was frustration. I didn’t look into as you have, just ignored it, but I am glad you brought your experience to us.

I thought Woody was a character from Toy Story. You know the movie.

Steve, thanks for the info. You might also look into the possibility that this is another web scam that is used by terrorist organizations to gain funds. Being there are links to the middle east raises a lot of red flags. I have seen these before. The UK is full of these types of fund raisers.

Hi, Steve – I just want to say my thanks to you for helping expose this scam. It is hard enough on designers with all the ‘regular people’ sharing patterns and uploading them and sending them through the internet, but to have an organization such as this do it worldwide, it makes it even tougher. PM me and I will send you a ‘donation’ so you can buy the set and let us know what is going on. You work hard on your videos and I know lots of great designers that are struggling because of stuff like this and I would like to help you in any way I can to expose them.

Thanks very much!
