Not much of a comprehensive review, but I really like my new saw.

Thanks Steve…great review. I am in fact in the market for a table saw but I’ve got my eye on a used one. But, since you are in California and as you said you’re gonna die per the manual, can I have your new saw?
Love you man!

Thanks for the review, Steve. Sounds like a great saw.
And as for those “hip buster” rails, I had a Craftsman saw with those too. A tennis ball with an L-shaped cut slipped onto each rail solved the issue.
Good luck on the new saw and enjoy it!
Cheers!

Great Review, and nice saw! My saw has the hip buster as well, so the tennis ball idea is worth trying for me. Thanks!

I have “hip busters” on my saw too. Tennis balls are just too small to cover the end of the rail so I went to Petco and got the big tennis balls … they fit perfectly! They are a couple of bucks each.
Nice saw… looking forward to some new projects from you.
Love your cat… mine would never come out due to the noise.
Ellen

I agree with everything you said in your review. I upgraded to the identical saw about a year ago and fell in love with it. It has enabled me to expand my efforts and gain confidence. The only downside is the difficult procedure to remove the riving knife i.e. putting your hand in thru the dust port opening to loosen the retaining knob while pushing it in. Great review! John

Thanks Ellen…I’ll make a trip to Petco for a large ball. It was fun to get my cat in this one. She has no name, just “The Cat” or “Kiitty”. Love her to death, but names won’t describe her!

As an aside, my cat loves coming into my shop and jumping around on my workbenches. I thought it would be fun to shoot some video with her on my table saw. She would have nothing to do with it. Somehow she instinctively perceived it as “danger”.
