Very nice video Steve. It now appears you just opened up a new door for yourself with another technique. Nice job, I can see you using the bent lamination technique in future projects. I know when I learn something new it reflects in a lot I do. try making a miniature bentwood rocker this year for the fair, maybe. Have you ever tried steam bending? I found a good video on YouTube about steam bending in the microwave. Check into it. Enjoy your day.

And that’s why we enjoy watching your videos Steve. You include your not so perfect procedures(things you should have done) which makes your program more relatable to more of us. We all go through them. Again, thanks for sharing with us all. Nice box too btw.

Good video, Steve, nice project.
It occurred to me that you could use wood veneer for the laminations. Cuts out the planing stage. Perhaps contrasting woods for a striped effect. Just a thought.

I would have thought it would require a complex jig to form a hear shape. You make it look easy Steve. Thanks for another great project video.

Kool, now I need a glass of milk after seeing all that chocolate. I won’t be able to try this until I get a planner, but I really like the idea and the valentine day reminder.

Hi, Steve: This is another great project! I have always wondered about bending wood and this technique is a great starting level for doing so. The box is really nice and it will be something that will become a nice keepsake for your sweetie. Another great video for us to learn from. You always make learning new techniques fun!
Sheila :)
