Is it possible to contact Norm Abram? Crazy thought...

Hey guys,

I know this is an outside chance, but I would love to interview Norm, on video, for my blog and web site. As crazy as it sounds, does anyone have a thought at how I can contact him or his team? The New Yankee web site is really old-school and doesn’t have any real contact info. Nor does the Facebook or Twitter page. (I suspect Norm isn’t involved in that at all.)

I would seriously like to make this happen, even though I know it’s a shot in a million. Ideas?? Names? Contacts? Emails? Someone at the production company? This Old House? Anything to get me started? Can we create a campaign on the NYW Facebook or something? I think it would be the funniest, most awesome thing ever.

You might try contacting that Boston PBS station that aired his shows.

Sure that would be great. Sorry not to be of any help (being in France and not in the woodworking business anyway), at least I can support the idea :) BTW a funny thing is that the first of your videos that I saw was that which you did when Norm announced his retirement. Couldn’t stop following you since, you funny b@strd :p

Dez: This is awesome! No…I hadn’t found these links. I am spamming (no, contacting) them right now.

Yeah, I am not planning on anything becoming of it, but it’s worth a shot, huh?

Thanks man!

Quayle: OMG…I did the plaid shirt bit on my Halloween video, with a Norm parody! Do you think Norm is online?

Mail a hand written letter to his shop. I’m sure he’s still in and out of that shop. Although he’s a busy man he’s got to be sympathetic to what goes on in here.

he’s probably wearing shorts and a t-shirt
and growing petunias

maybe sitting on the back porch
drinking a beer
and watching his house crumble
happy not to have to do anything about it

Steve His production company was Russell Morash and associates. They are still in business in the Boston area. I would try WGBH like the others have said

Gary: thanks…at this point I am becoming a stalker!

Rance: Dude…star? I just make crappy little videos. But wouldn’t it be fun if Norm appeared in one? Haha!

Absolutely Steve.

Fine WoodWorking contacts (Scott Phillips, Norm Abrams, David Marks)
NSFWW contacts (Not So Fine WW contacts) – Most of us here on LJ. LOL!

Hey, Marc Spaglonolo(sp?) knows David Marks. Maybe via Marc, via David, you might reach Norm. You might also reach him via one of his teammates on TOH. You know, Richard Trethewey, Tom Silva, Kevin O’Connor, or Roger Cook. More credits can be seen at:
http://www.pbs.org/thisoldhouse/about/credits.php
Maybe try getting in touch with the business manager Thomas Plant.
And as a very last resort, send in your request via “Ask This Old House”.

Did you contact him through Twitter, through MySpace, through Facebook, through PM, or through his website? Or by email, or by phone, or by homing pidgeon? Or by LUMBERJOCKS? Marc is one connected dude. :D
