I was hoping I would not need AC in the shop, but, clearly I do.

So, off to the big box store. Got a 14.5K BTU through the wall unit. Now to poke a hole in the wall and slide it in. I wanted it as high as possible on the wall so its never in the way. It came with a remote, so I don’t have to climb a ladder to use it.

All done. Works great, just removing the humidity made a world of difference.

Is it big enough for bad guys to get in through?

You could rig a pendulum blade booby trape that swings after a certain delay to slice people in half if they try to climb in.

Or maybe put a laser detector that fires a blow-torch at that spot if anything crosses its path once the AC is removed.

Also could build a moat filled with sulfuric acid below the AC unit to discourage attempts. Fenced area filled with rabid wolverines around that. Could be annoying as you will have to keep replenishing the rabid wolverines.

You could get another building where you breed the wolverines, and fence off a small area where you let the rabid wolverines bite the “next wave” of rabid wolverines. No one is gonna wanna break into that building so no lasers necessary on that one.

The frame is screwed to the opening, but, just in case. (these are easier to care for).
