Garden Chair #1: Forms and arms

After a couple other projects, finally getting around to building 8 of the Garden Chair’s from FW magazine. They will be the matching set around the fire table I built earlier. Same wood, African Mahogany

SORRY, i don’t know why the pictures are rotated. They are not that way on my machine, and don’t see a way to rotate them :(

I just love this chair!

Getting the forms built was pretty straight forward. I couldn’t get 1/2 ply to bend around the severe curve for the legs, so had to use 2 1/8 pieces of hardboard instead.

Now, lots of resawing. Very glad I upgraded to the Laguna 18”!

First leg glue up. Had to go get more clamps after the dry run.

Dude, I love these chairs too! Thanks for doing such a great write-up on these. They’re on my list for next summer.
