Tab,e Saw fence usage - 6 replies

What is everyone’s view on which side of the blade the fence should be for left and right handed workers. I was asked the question the other day and hadn’t really thought about it until then. My use is usually dictated by how big the piece I am cutting is and how much table space is needed to safely hold board. What are your thou...

Old Fart Pride - 28 replies

Old Fart Pride I’m passing this on, as I did not want to be the only old fart receiving it.Actually, it’s not a bad thing to be called, as you will see. I shipped it to a client in Illinois and he received it today with the board being curved going the wrong direction. Is it possible that the difference in humidity in the midwest caused this to happen? I did alternate the w...

Telephones in shop areas - 17 replies

While running equipment in my shop today I missed an important phone call because I didn’t hear it ring. I was just wondering how others deal with this issue. Whether you use a very loud ringer/bright light etc. Knowing the wide expanse of experienced woodworkers here, I just know someone has the answer I am looking for or need.
