The Sawdust Chronicles’ 30-Day Challenge is simply that – a challenge. We will be challenging you, the beginning woodworker, to complete a woodworking project within 30 days. Part 2: Let the games begin!!!
This morning (May 1st, 2009) The Sawdust Chronicles 2009 Spring 30-Day Build Challenge (I’m trying to think of a longer name, so send me suggestions) began! With 43 actively interested contestants (23 Beginners, 15 Amateurs, and 1 Professional woodworker), 4 sponsors (Rockler, Woodcraft Magazine, Kreg Tools, General Finishes) over 250 emails, and about 150 hours already devoted to breathing life into the contest, it is now up to the contestants to determine how it all proceeds. Part 3: With the build process over, the judging commences
The Sawdust Chronicles Spring 2009 30-Day Build Challenge has concluded. At least for the contestants. The judges, Neil Lamens, Erik Pearson, and myself, now have to pour over the submitted projects to find 4 winners. 3 Beginner Woodworkers and 1 Amateur Woodworker will be chosen to receive prizes based on a point system.
