I'm a retiring dental hygienist and just getting starting in the scroll saw hobby. I've spent 25 years doing stained glass and still enjoy it but there are aspects of this hobby that I know I'm going to enjoy also. Recently purchased a very old, very basic single speed Craftsman scroll saw to see if I'd like the whole idea. I DO and now I want to upgrade to something better. I'm thinking I'm going to ask Santa for an Excaliber and we'll see how that goes over. I'm going to tell him it's a whole lot cheaper than those 2 carat diamonds they're trying to sell us on commercals. It can't hurt, can it?
My main interest right now to making some heirloom jigsaw puzzles for starters and then we'll see where that takes me.
