I do not own a cnc machine (I would love to someday). But i am looking at a project that requires some cnc routed designs. I am in south louisiana. Does anyone know of some place that i can bring or send me wood stock to and have the design done?

I am building a version of a blanket chest with two drawers at the bottom. It is for my niece who is going away to college so she needs to have chest to keep her prsonal chest. Is BLO a good finish to use for cutting boards. I know mineral oil is the thing to use. But I am using some nice curly maple and really wanted it to pop on the board. but is BLO safe to use for this use?

Does anyone know of a a place in the New Orleans area to buy good wood? Lots of lumber yards that sell only construcion type lumber. I am looking for some good hardwoods for some projects. I am new to woodworking and could really use the help.
