Getting ready for work this morning, HGTV was on the tube. Kitchen renovation underway and a load bearing wall was going to be re-worked, so a temp wall was being built. Well, it must have been an upscale neighborhood because a gent comes by and asks the worker cutting 2×4s with a chopsaw in the driveway to keep it down, his newborn was trying to nap.
The worker didn’t know what to do. It never occurred to him there was a way to cut 2×4s without electricity, so the work halted for over an hour until the crew came up with a cordless circ saw that would work in the house. They also had to construct some dust prevention measures in house and, in doing so, added additional delay.
Not snarky, not hand tool snobbery, but he could have used one of these:
