no previous part Part 1 of Thank you gifts series no next part

I was waiting for a Penn State box in the mail and instead I got this heavy box from Illinois. In it were my pick-up jig I loaned to Dave for making his Nova index wheel and a nice finishing plane and this big piece of burl all waxed and ready to turn. Dave said these were thank you gifts for the loan of the jig!

Well thank you, Dave. I will put the plane to good use in my shop and I already have centers drilled in the burl and waiting for it to tell me what shape it wants to be!!

Cheers, my friend…..............Jim

Very nice surprise for you. Goes to show how good sharing can be.
Waiting to see the results of both the plane and the burl.

Jim, you are more than welcome. Every time I go near the lathe I get a inspired feeling to do something on it.
As soon as I build a couple jigs for routing and drilling I’ll be turning away with it. Glad you like the chisel plane Jim. I will wait patiently for the burl to tell you what it wants to be.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
