no previous part Part 1 of Egyptian Gold Sandpaper vs. Abranet series no next part

I have been sold on the Egyptian Gold sand paper from Klingspor and then I ran across Abranet at Woodcraft so I bought a variety pack of about 7 grits. The gold sandpaper lasts a long time and does not load up except for the 320 grit. I have to change it most often. I have 100, 150, 220 and 320 grits.
Then I tried the Abranet and it truly does not load up!! But it is most aggressive – even in 220 and 320 grits. I could not use the 150 or 220 on some of the finer details because it would take off too much so I used paper up to 320 and then used 400 and 600 in the Abranet for finishing before applying EEE polish. The 400 and 600 seem to last forever!!

I look forward to getting home to make bowls and sanding the inside with Abranet. I’ll bet it will smooth out turning marks with ease. Good turning!!!!!!!!!!!!
