Changing Table

This is a changing table I built for my sister a while back. It serves double duty as a baby dresser. She puts a changing pad on top and stores all of the neccessary items inside. It is for her first born and it is packed full! I built it out of pine and stained it with poly. It was my first furniture style project and was quite a challenge but I learned a lot from it.

Grandson's shelf

This is a project that my Grandson and I tackled last weekend. He was up for the weekend and wanted to help me with a project. So we decided to make him a shelf to put his soccer trophies on and that he could hang his school bag and his coats on. The supports I cut on the scroll saw to look like motorcycle wheels. He sanded the boards with the orbital sander and also drilled all of the holes with a little help from me. Then he helped screw everything together and was very proud of his work. His Dad is going to help him paint it and then hang it in his room so he can put it to good use.

drill press cabinet

This is a cabinet that I built to house all of my various drill bits and accesories for my drill press. The holders in the cabinet are removeable so you can take them to the job when you need to. I used my label maker and labeled all of the different bit sizes so I could tell at a glance what size they were. The project only took a couple of hours to do and organized my drill press accesories all in one place. It was a project I should of done a long time ago!

It is made out of walnut with birch panels. The inlays were my first attempts, but not my last. She was very happy with her new toy box!
