I found this video pretty interesting.. this is how they make the patterns to create a mold for casting a large marine propeller. That’s a lot of plywood. And sawdust.

Cool! thanks for sharing. That would be a cool way to make a spiral table base or something.

A long time ago in France I saw one being made, out of brass, for an aircraft carrier on a CNC machine.
As you can imagine it was huge and it had variable pitch
