« Part 1: Cupcake Box Part 2 of Originals series no next part

I finished up the cupcake box prototype. I had to make some changes on the fly when I realized my original pattern wasn’t going to work because I forgot to account for some things. Overall though, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and I plan on using my notes to go back and tweak the pattern until I get something that’s consistent. There are some other things I plan to try on future prototypes as well, like adding a shim or using a thicker wood for the cherry to get more dimension from it. I probably won’t make another one for a while though since cutting wood thicker than 1/2” on my cheap Skil saw is painful. I’m hoping Santa thinks I was a good girl this year and brings me a DeWalt for an intermediary saw. :)
