My shop is directly under my 2 car garage. It has poured concrete walls, ceiling, and floor, which provides great sound insulation. That’s important when I’m up weekend mornings working and my family wants to sleep in. One door leads to the house and the other to the back yard. It’s unheated (or air conditioned) but since it is mostly underground and shares one wall with the living space, I only need a small space heater to keep it a reasonable temperature.

You have a nice shop that is well organized. Mine is similar to yours in that it originally was a third garage in our walkout basement and the bulk of it is underground.
Thanks for the post. I enjoyed visiting with you.

You have exactly the same set up that I have…shop under the garage. Works great.
