Well, most wood working buddies of mine laugh at my tools and workshop. My band saw was my fathers, my table saw was given to me and is about as old as I am… no guards. I have a plastic router table that is about 1 foot wide. It is sad. I do have some good tools, and from my days as an electrician I have great hand and cordless tools, and that helps.
I grew up in my father’s wood shop and he let me work on and build whatever I wanted. My Father was no professional wood worker; he was in that generation of the guys who did everything for themselves. My Father was a general contractor for years. I have been a “hobby” wood worker most of my life. Most of my tricks I have learned the hard way, invented myself, or I look through a tool catalog and find something that makes me think “I didn’t even know you could do that.” The cool part of that is that I end up finding some good tricks I can share, and I know why all of the “don’ts don’t work. The down side is that I have been very limited in what I know, and when it comes to the guys who know there stuff, I have little to offer.
I do have a "How to" for building frames on my web site. My frames I have recieved awards for, so that is one thing I can do with wood... besides burn it. :D

Welcome SilverFoxArt! I posted a request for a recommendation on the purchase of a good pyrography equipment, and your name came up. Mind my asking what you use?

Just checked out your work and your website, very impressive. You have plenty of talent to share here and any where els that someone is looking to learn, I learned from you today myself. Well done.
