no previous part Part 1 of Venues series Part 2: Video Interview with local reporter »

I was recently invited to join Gallery Calapooia in Albany, OR. Today I put my work in the Gallery.

About a week ago when I first got admitted, a reporter from the local press, the Mid-Valley media group, came out and shot a bunch of video of me working in the shop and did an interview. Then a reporter from another local paper came out and did an interview and took a bunch of pictures.

At the end of May Albany holds its’ annual “Wine Walk”, my work will be in the front window of the gallery and on the featured artist wall for the entire month of May.

The reporters are going to do what they call a “Tease In” for the week leading up to the wine walk, and then break the stories right before. With that much promotion in addition to the gallery’s press release, I just might sell something :-/

Here’s hoping…

This is my first gallery installation

Thanks for looking!

Don’t know about that, but I am excited about this. We’ll see how it plays out…
