Let me be the first to welcome you to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I love this site, I hope you will enjoy it too.

Look forward to seeing more of your projects and posts.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks SGT Vrooman. I’m fairly new here myself but I’m already addicted because every time I log on I learn something new. Watch out or you’ll be on here more than you’re working on projects. Any relation to Justin Vrooman, Army pilot?

Nope no relation but its always neat to hear about other people who share my strange last name haha. I was the only Vrooman in the United States Marine Corps I don’t know if that’s still the case…

Well there were at least two Vroomans in the Army but Justin’s brother Staff Sergeant Jeremy Vrooman was killed by an IED last year. He was on one side of Baghdad while we were on the other side. I know they were both from South Dakota. That is a rather unique family name but in this case I’m glad for you that he wasn’t related.
