Here I upload various gingerbread molds made recently by myself. All of them are copies of either ancient or modern molds wich I had found in the internet. The carving is made on laminated boards from basswood. The molds are treated with leenseed oil.

Original is 19th century gingerbread mold from collection of Russian museum, Sanct-Peterburg, Russia

Gingerbread mold ‘Another fish’
Original is 19th century mold from Ural mountains region, Russia

Gingerbread mold ‘Hearts’
Original author is unknown

Gingerbread mold ‘Doggy’
Original author is M. Kiryanov from the city of Vologda, Russia

Gingerbread mold ‘Cockerel’
Original author is Sergei Sokolov, an artist from the town of Gorodets, Russia

Nice to see you preserving and recreating these beautiful forms and it brings back memories from my child hood .
It’s great to see your family using the forms and actually making cookies .
Here is a form that looks similar to what I remember and I wish I could carve one .

Klaus – thanks. The same type of form (thats’s the right word, ok) consisting of many pieces existed in my country too. Such a gingerbread was given to guests on a wedding to let them know it’s time to leave.
