Hello everyone,

My name is Billy and as all of you have been, I have fell in love with woodworking every since my first project (retirement chest for a good friend of mine, and a good sailor). I have been woodworking now for about a year and unfortunately have no formal training. I do how ever read everything I can get my hands on and pratice with every scrap piece of wood I keep. My experience is growing everyday and I learn from every mistake, and especially from fellow woodworkers here on LJ's.
My real job as my wife says is that I am in the Navy and have been in for 19 years. I have no intentions of retiring despite my wifes hard hand. I am so happy to find this website and envy the quality of craftmanship that is displayed.
I hope to get to know each and everyone one of you.

Billy

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hey Chief,

Looks like some “fish” over your left pocket in the photo. I was a pig boat sailor on USS Odax (SS484), ‘68-’72. We’ve always got room for one more bubblehead. Don’t get too settled-in, though. You’ve got the next watch!

Welcome from an old ET!

Welcome aboard there sailor! Tis a good site that you have found, I’ve sure enjoyed the straight and narrow line of woodworking and no deviation into off the wall subjects. Might try as a starter in making “Boats”, Ha!
Semper Fi for sure and thanks for your service.
