Shellac as final finish? - 78 replies
I am making a dart board cabinet that is Sipo with Cherry inlay. My plan was to seal it with a thin (~1 lb) layer of dewaxed shellac and then use some wipe-on polly (Watco Danish oil… same thing? ) I tried this on a test piece and it worked ok (I thought the shellac would have prevented the oil from sticking.)
