I converted an old horse barn that a woman was renting out for car storage into an operational wood shop. It's nothing fancy, especially from the outside, but it works for me! To get it ready, I installed a floor by grading it with dirt, laying pallets down as the foundation, then used 3/4" T&G sub-flooring panels to finish it off. Worked great! I also installed my own electrical system with plenty of lighting and receptacles. And to seal in the heat, I insulated the walls and ceiling, fixed the door, and installed windows. It's still a bit tight but my business is young so I've got time to move up!
