A case for short hair
Hi, all - Though the title of this posting is (mildly) humorous, the content is, unfortunately, not. I work in the chemistry dept at Yale, and overnight we had an undergraduate researcher die in a machine shop accident. Reports so far today suggest that her hair got caught in a lathe, which is why I am posting here. I see enough beautiful lathe-produced work on this site that I’d hate to have anyone else suffer the same consequences. So, ladies (and you lock-laden gents), please tie your hair back or opt for a short ‘do if you’re working with a lathe! I did not know Michele, but my condolences go to her family and friends.
